SNOW DAYS!

We have had plenty of Snow Days already this year! I can't complain! I loved having extra time with Andrew and Keller at home! Snow days are fun!

Merry Christmas

We were snowed in this year for Christmas! 10 adults and 8 children! It was a definitely a full house...but the kids had a blast! We never had the chance to take Keller to meet Santa..so we had to improvise. A stuffed Santa did the trick! Keller's first Christmas was a total success!

One year ago today at 4:00pm Andrew and I welcomed our little man to this world. I remember this moment so well. It still brings a tear to my eyes. Happy Birthday Keller! We love you!

Happy Birthday to Keller

Keller's first birthday party was too much fun! We had a Winter "One"derland full of friends, bbq and babies. Our house was full to the brim and I loved it. I think Keller was a little overwhelmed. He didnt take to the cake as I expected...but the next morning we celebrated with home made raspberry waffles and he was in heaven!

Drive back home

We took a detour on the way home to Amelia Island! I must say that I am in love with the area! The beach was incredible!! Definitely doing that again in the future!

Miami for Thanksgiving!

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Miami for Thanksgiving. Keller loved meeting his extended family and friends! I think he takes after his parents and their love for the Thanksgiving Holiday! He ate Mashed Potatoes like it was his job!! A new love.

We also had a great time at the beach! At first he wasn't too sure and stuck to his towel, but that didn't last long. The crazy little guy was stuffing handfuls of sand in his mouth in no time...

Drive Down to Miami!

Keller was an angel on the drive down. We actually had to check to be sure he was breathing a couple times. Just not like him to nap like that! In total, I think he slept about 80% of the trip!

We stopped in Stuart to see Andrew's dad on the way! I think you can tell they are family!

Keller loves a good walk!

Keller was too funny on our walk the other night! I had to capture it! He thought this walk was super fun! Look at that smile under there!

Chef in Training

Keller found the cookbook drawer this weekend and was very proud of himself. He tore each one of those books out and sat on the floor and flipped through them. It was too cute. I couldn't stop him!

Brevard

Another fun weekend in the Upstate! Andrew and I got up early and decided to hit the road, not knowing where it would take us. It took us the on back roads to Brevard. It was the most beautiful day! We stumbled upon two gems: 1. the Brevard Halloween Festival and 2.Hobnob, one of the greatest restaurant finds. We sat outside on this beautiful porch and enjoyed some white wine, delicious soup and Oyster Poboys. Ohh, and apple bread pudding and a chocolate lava cake...but who is counting. What a fun little weekend adventure. Love the Fall!

Grits and Groceries

I love these pictures. First trip was when he was just a little man...this latest captures our little man perfectly. Yes, he was banging this spoon on the table for more. Just like his parents.

Milestone

On this beautiful day at the farm Keller showed us one of his newer tricks...standing on his own! Kind of made me want to tear up a bit...Im not ready for this big boy stuff.

FARM

I remember why I love fall..its all the fun outdoor adventures we have. This weekend we got up early, headed to Caroline and Tyson's to start the caravan to Grits and Groceries...maybe the best hidden gem in the Upstate. Yes, it took 45 minutes..but it was so worth it. Apple fritters, crab cakes and grits with tomato gravy for an appetizer...shrimp po boy for lunch. Amazing food and atmosphere. Keller had his first biscuit and it was love at first bite. Then we all jumped in the car and headed to the Smoak farm. I cant say enough about this place. I originally thought my favorite place in South Carolina was the beach...but the farm may take the cake! It was an amazing day spent with great friends under a big tree with a cool drink in hand..followed by some good ole football watching on the back porch. I mean really, can it get any better?

Apple Orchard

I am getting so behind on this blog thing. We went to the apple orchard this past weekend with a group of friends. Keller had his first bites of an apple and his first of many pumpkin photo shoots. What a perfect way to spend a beautiful Fall day. Cant wait to get back there next year.

AB's wedding weekend

What a perfect wedding weekend in Highlands to celebrate Anne Beaumont and David! We are so excited for our dear friends. The weekend was gorgeous and the bride was stunning. (need to add pics when I get them!) An added perk was having all the Mermaid babies together for the first time!! We didnt catch them all together in a photo this time..but we got close!

BEACH TRIP!!

we finally made it to the beach with Keller for a good long weekend at the Smoak's house at Kiawah. It was awesome. A totally relaxing beach weekend. Great weather. Wonderful friends. It was just perfect. Somehow we even managed to get the kids on the same nap schedule! I cant wait to do this again next year when Keller can walk!
